SYNOPSIS
Barcelona is hungry for musical theatre and Nit de musicals is a clear proof of this. It was born in 2014 and it comes back as an unmissable festival after obtaining an exceptional response from the audience in previous editions. One again the show has its own personality thanks to its director, Paco Mir, a theatre man mostly known for his work with Tricicle but who also works on his own. Over the past years, he has directed productions such as El sopar dels idiotes (1998) or La banqueta (2013) at the Grec theatre. The thatre magazine Teatralnet organizes an evening that combines voice and choreography and promises to thrill spectators with a repertoire consisting of known songs from American musicals like Gypsy, Guys and Dolls and Kiss me Kate among others. The Big Band Barcelona Jazz Orquestra will play songs to be sung by an exceptional selection of performers and with a dancing company created specifically for this occasion. A theatre and music night with all the Broadway swing.
